SC SHOWS GRATITUDE FOR CORPS MEMBERS' LIFE AND HEALTH

The NYSC Osun State Co-ordinator, Mrs. Winifred Shokpeka has expressed her deepest appreciation to God for always being there in the affairs of the Scheme, especially in the safety of corps members and staff.

She said this during the visit of Corps member Adebiyi Kabirat Taiwo who was involved in an accident recently, and her family to the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede, on Saturday.

Mrs. Winifred started off by thanking God for answering her prayers for the preservation of Corps members serving in Osun State and those passing through the State to their States of deployment.

She was elated to see that the corps member is recovering perfectly and would be fit to return to continue her service in due time.

Corps member Adebiyi Kabirat Taiwo, with State Code OS/21B/4867, a graduate of Geology, was involved in a ghastly motor accident on the 1st of September, 2021, was admitted at the Uniosun Teaching Hospital, and discharged on the 30th of November, 2021.

While speaking, Kabirat appreciated the efforts and concerns of the NYSC and that of the State Coordinator and pledged her readiness to selflessly serve the nation in Osun State.

The corps member's Guardian, Dr. Adebiyi Waidi, accompanied by Mr. Smith Olatoma, expressed great appreciation and surprise at the level of care and genuine love shown by the NYSC.

"This level of care and love is worth emulating and really portrays the ideals of the entire NYSC scheme" he added.

He appreciated the Director General of NYSC, Brig. Gen. Shuaibu Ibrahim for his commitment to the welfare and wellbeing of the members of the Scheme. "He is truly a father to all corps members and prospective corps members inclusive", he said.
