PLATOON 8 AND 7 EMERGE WINNERS MISS NYSC, MR MACHO CONTEST


The representatives of platoon 8, Ibrahim Rofiat Omowunmi, with State Code, OS/21C/4058 and platoon 7, Umar Mukhtar Alkasim with State Code, OS/21C/3117, have emerged winners of the Miss NYSC and Mr Macho contest respectively for the 2021 Batch C Stream II Orientation Course. 

This breath taking contest took place on Saturday, at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede.

Mrs Winifred Shokpeka, the NYSC Osun State Coordinator, while delivering her opening speech, informed the corps members present that the variety night is a part of the social culture developed to ensure that self esteem of participants is built up and they are able to discover their hidden potentials.

She also encouraged all participants and appreciated their trainers for going through all the rigors to train them, ensuring that they put in their best.

While concluding, she urged all corps members to imbibe the spirit of teamwork, dedication, diligence and perseverance.

The programme featured the Miss NYSC and Mr Macho contest by all ten platoons who came out in their best for introduction, first and second appearance and the final round where their mental capacities were tested in a question and answer segment. The event also featured song and dance performances by corps members.

Also present at the event was the Camp Director, Mrs Mary Adebesin, the Camp Commandant who doubled as the chief judge, Captain O. Oyekanmi and other principal officials.
