SHARPEN YOUR SKILLS - ADEGOKE ENJOINS CORPS MEMBERS
The State Coordinator, Mr Ayodele Adegoke has enjoined the 2021 Batch A corps members deployed to Osun State and those dislodged from Lagos to sharpen the skills they have acquired during the in camp training of the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED).
Mr Adegoke made the statement while delivering his address at the inter platoon skills competition and exhibition on Friday at the Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede.
According to him, the corps members should ensure they perfect their chosen skills by participating actively in the post camp training.
Earlier, the Head of SAED, Mrs. Femi-Ajayi Olufunmilayo had charged the corps members to maximize opportunities to create wealth even as the SAED in camp ends.
She told them that it is necessary to have an eagle eye in order to spot business opportunities in their various places of primary assignment.
The Camp Director, Mr Musa Abdulrasheed, in the same vein, implored them not to discard the knowledge and skills they have acquired on camp from their various SAED classes. He further encouraged them to put the knowledge acquired into work once they leave the orientation camp.
Highlights of the event include interplatoon skills competition in leather works, food preservation and processing, beads and wireworks, tie and dye, make up and gele and tailoring coupled with exhibition of products produced by corps members in the various skill classes and testimonies from corps members.
