SDG CDS VISITS THE HOME FOR MOTHERLESS AND ABANDONED BABIES

The Sustainable Development Goals CDS Group of Olorunda Local Government Area, Osun State visited Little Angels of Fatima Catholic Home for the motherless and abandoned Babies at Jaleyemi, Osogbo on the 11th of February.

The CDS President, Uwalaka Martin U, in his address, made it known that the visit was to show their solidarity to the less privileged to express their love during the Valentine Season.

The members of the CDS Group showed concern over the welfare of the children at the orphanage home.

In response to that, a representative of the sister in-charge, Rev. Sr. Mary Elizabeth Akinlotan, acknowledged the public's support of the home.

During the visit, it was discovered that the home has 22 children in total with one at the University, some in secondary and primary level and the rest who are infants.

It was also gathered that the children at the home are children who lost their mothers during child birth, abandoned or due to the mother's mental state were separated from her.

The visit ended with prayers for the children and the Representative of the Rev. Sister in-charge, appreciated corp members for their donation of a substantial amount of money to the home.
