"Orientation Course; An Opportunity to Network and Meet Positive Persons"- Hon. Barr. Bamidele Tells Prospective Corps Members


The Honorable Representing Ede North, Egbedore and Ejigbo Federal Constituency, Barrister Bamidele Salam has told the 2020 Batch B stream 1B  prospective corps members and those dislodged from Lagos that the orientation course is an opportunity to network and explore.

Barr. Bamidele stated this while addressing the prospective corps members during the welcome party at the multipurpose hall of the NYSC permanent orientation camp, Ede, on Sunday. 

According to Honorable Bamidele, peace is number one factor in settling dispute or disagreements, hence we must work towards preaching peace in whatever we engage ourselves in.

He further enjoined the prospective corps members to avoid promoting ethnicity or tribal related topics, stressing that the orientation course is an opportunity to meet and mingle with people from different ethnic groups. 

Speaking further, He challenged the
prospective corps members to impact positively in Nation building.

"Question yourselves on the role you should play that will contribute to the development of Nigeria", he said.

In Addition, he described Osun State as a peaceful and lovely state while praying that the prospective corps members experience a successful service year.

Earlier, the camp director, Mr Ayibiowu Felix welcomed the prospective corps members to the party and admonished them to express happiness through dance steps as this marks the beginning of their amazing service year.

He also charged the prospective corps members to conduct themselves properly and adhere to COVID-19 preventive protocols even as they enjoy the party as he declare the dance floor open. 

Some highlights of the party includes; Comedy, drinking and dancing competition.

The representative of platoon 4, Oyeri Onome emerged winner of the drinking competition, while the representative of platoon 8, Loromah Partner and representative of platoon 6, Cookey Rosemary emerged winner of male and female dance competition respectively.

Also present at the party; the NYSC Osun State Coordinator, Mr Ayodele Adegoke, the camp Commandant, Captain TBA Umole, Resident officer1, Mr Bamigboye Paul and other camp officials.
