Honourable Commissioner for Youths and Sports Visits Osun NYSC Camp; Presents Trophy to Winner of the Interplatoon Drills Competition

 

The Honourable Commissioner for Youths and Sports and  Chairman, NYSC State Governing Board, Hon. Lawal Azeez Olayemi,  paid an unscheduled visit to the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp Ede, Osun State on Wednesday, during the interplatoon drills competition for the 2020 Batch A and B stream 1A orientation course. 

According to Hon. Lawal, the visit was to check on the corps members and to ascertain the smooth  running of the orientation programme even as it is drawing to a close. 

Speaking further, he Commended the State Coordinator, Mr Ayodele Adegoke and other camp officials for their relentless efforts in making sure that everyone stays safe in camp through the monitoring and enforcement of the  NCDC guidelines.

Subsequently, Hon. Laws presented the gold trophy to platoon 7 who emerged winners of the interplatoon drills competition. He urged them to keep soaring high as the sky is just a starting point for them. 

Meanwhile, the NYSC Osun State Coordinator, Mr Ayodele Adegoke who welcomed the Honourable Commissioner on behalf of the Director General of NYSC Brigadier General Ibrahim Shuaibu, appreciated the Commissioner for coming and guaranteed him that NYSC will continue to work in synergy with the NCDC in order to keep course participants safe.

"There is no cause for alarm because we have put every necessary equipment in place to ensure the safety of corps members and everyone else on camp", he said.
