Director Internal Audit Visits Osun Orientation Camp- Rewards Corps Members who Participated in SAED Training
The Director, Internal Audit, Mr Leke Abiodun visited the ongoing 2020 Batch B stream 1A orientation programme at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp Ede, and rewarded corps members who participated in Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) training.
Mr Abiodun was impressed by the facilities put in place by the NYSC Osun State to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the orientation camp, such as the ultraviolet disinfectant tunnel, numerous hand Washing points, hand sanitizers mounted in strategic location around the camp and the appropriate use of facemasks by the corps members and camp officials.
While inspecting camp facilities like the clinic, hostels, medical laboratory, kitchen, among others, Mr Abiodun expressed his heartfelt gratitude towards the composure and level of compliance to COVID-19 protocols in line with NCDC guidelines.
The Director who coincidentally met the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) interpolation skills competition and Exhibition at the Multipurpose Hall of the Orientation Camp was dazzled by the quality and well branded products of the SAED training ranging from beads, clothes, wigs, paints, 3D designs, throw pillows, liquid soaps, and many more.
The impressed Director told the corps members not to leave Osun State without learning a skill, encouraging them to sieze the opportunity to add value to their lives so that the scheme can link them up with other opportunities.
"Learning a skill is encouraging and makes you develop the feeling of self reliance", he said.
He admonished the corps members not to embark on authorised journeys but that they should be security conscious, respect for tradition maintain a healthy relationship and be good to people by having an understanding of the different backgrounds they represent.
In Addition, He rewarded the corps members who participated in the SAED training, the Quarter guard, those at the kitchen and the team of band with cash prizes, urging them to keep up the good work and wished them a beautiful service year.
Meanwhile, the Osun State Coordinator, Mr Ayodele Adegoke while delivering his brief, appreciated Mr Abiodun's support so far and promised him that the NYSC Osun will continue to keep up their good work of inculcating discipline and excellence in the corps members.
Conclusively, Mr Adegoke, commended the Batch A corps members who returned to camp and joined the SAED training, stressing that they will never regret adding a skill to their lives.
