CBN Sensitizes Corps Members on Loan Accessibility
A team from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Osun State has on Thursday sensitized the 2020 Batch B Stream 1A and 2020 Batch A corps members on Loan Accessibility and availability.
The sensitization lecture held at the Multipurpose Hall of the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede, Osun State.
According to the team leader, Mrs Adebayo Oluyemisi, CBN has made it possible for youths to apply for loans and go into agriculture which is pivotal for the growth of the country's economy.
Adebayo laid emphasis on the loan availably accessible to all corps members especially after the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme.
She Stated that there are different financial options available for loan such as; Nigeria Youth Investment Fund (NYIF) which is created by the Government to aid all youths by giving them loan to finance their business, either short or long term loan which has its own range.
"The Central Bank of Nigeria and other financial institutions are mandated to allow access to all eligible corps members to assist them in growing their business and this eligibility comes with a collateral such as School Certificate, NYSC discharge certificate to monitor the growth of the Corps member's business after accessing the loan so as to induce seriousness in them while they carry out their business", She said.
She concluded by informing corps members on the sectors that are qualified to get loans which are; Agriculture, Construction, Technology, and Manufacturing.
