2348 CORPS MEMBERS PASS OUT IN OSUN STATE



No fewer than 2348 of the 2019 Batch B Stream 1 Corps members of the National Youth Service Corps passed out in Osun on Thursday.

The passing out was devoid of ceremonial parade as a result of the great threat and danger posed by Coronavirus which the entire globe is battling currently.


The Osun State NYSC Coordinator, Mr Adewale Adegoke has earlier stated that the distribution and issuing of certificate to qualified corps members shall be staggered for a period of ten days at the local government level.



Furthermore, Mr Adegoke stated that eleven corps members was detected to have absconded from the service while nine who contravened the NYSC provision will have their service extended.

Adegoke while on a monitoring inspection to Osogbo and Olorunda Local Government Area to ensure compliance with the Covid-19 prevention specification, urged corps members to make positive use of what they have learnt while in the scheme.




Correspondingly, Assistant directors of the NYSC has been assigned to monitor the four zones that comprises of the scheme's in the state for proper monitoring.



Outgoing corps members were equally issued stamped letters of introduction by the Local Government Inspectors (LGIs) so as to aid their journey back to their various destinations amidst the inter-state lockdown.
