OLA-OLUWA INAUGURATES LOCAL GOVERNMENT COMMITTEE

Ola-Oluwa local government has inaugurated the first local government committee in the State. 

This came on the heels of the state coordinator's appeal to the Commissioner of Local Government and Chieftancy Affairs in the State. 

The state coordinator,  Mr Ayodele Adegoke had appealed to the Hon. Commissioner to assist the scheme in ensuring the constitution of a local government committee in the local governments. This according to him will ensure the well-being and security of corps members in the various local governments. 

Meanwhile, the Chairman, Ola-Oluwa Local Government, Hon Engr. Asimiyu Amobi Oyediran has reiterated the commitment of the local government to the welfare of corps members in Ola-Oluwa. The statement of assurance was made during the inauguration of the Ola-Oluwa local government committee on Thursday. While  charging other local government to follow the giant stride taken by his local government and do all that is necessary to ensure that corps members in their care are well attended to, he stated that the NYSC anthem was written by divine inspiration and therefore advised corps members to be diligent in all they do. 

Speaking at the event, the Royal Father, the Olubode of Bode-Osi, Oba Nureni Abioye showered encomium on the corps members for their orderly conduct and promised to give them fatherly support always. 

The State Coordinator, Mr Ayodele Adegoke who was represented by the Assistant Director HRM, Chief Tunde Fadairo, explained the importance of the setting up of the committee and charged members of the host community to see the corps members as their children and support them in fulfilling the mandate of the scheme in the local government.
