ADEGOKE CHARGES STAFF ON NYSC CORE VALUES AND WORK ETHICS
The NYSC Osun State Coordinator, Mr Ayodele Adegoke has charged members of staff to resuscitate their commitments to the NYSC core values of patriotism, integrity, efficiency, team work, commitment to work, discipline, honesty and tact.
Adegoke gave the charge during the general meeting with the staff on Tuesday at the secretariat conference room. He called on them to recommit to living according to the values if the objectives of the scheme must be achieved in the state in the year.
"Aside the core values of the scheme, there are also basic work ethics that anyone aspiring to rise to the peak of his career must imbide. Ethics such as obedience to rules and regulations, respect for established authority, respect for time and respect for others" he said.
Moreover, he added that members should cultivate the habit of dressing well and also demand same from corps members serving in the State. According to him " ensure your corps members dress in accordance with the approved dress code of the scheme because there will be increased impromptu inspections of corps members at their places of primary assignments by the Area Office and the State Secretariat".
Speaking on the welfare of corps members, Adegoke enjoined officials especially field officers to make corps welfare a top priority on their agenda this year. He encouraged them to know their corps members well and to always show love and concern for them as part of the NYSC family.
The meeting being the first in the year was beautifully wrapped with prayers and well wishes for the new year and admonitions from other management staff of the scheme in the State.
