ICPC ADVOCATES FOR CORPS MEMBERS INVOLVEMENT IN THE FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION
The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offence Commission (ICPC) has on Wednesday, 29th August 2019, sensitized the Batch B Stream II corps members deployed to Osun State on the need to shun corrupt practices.
In the course of the lecture which held at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede, State of Osun, the ICPC spokesperson, Mrs. Winifred Ingobro enlightened the corps members on the meaning of corruption as well as the causes of corruption.
She further enlightened them on the workings and objectives of ICPC, which she said, is to investigate and fight against corrupt practices in the nation.
Meanwhile she stressed that the fight against corruption in the nation can only be successful if all hands clear the deck, as the ICPC may not have adequate personnel that would cover the overall population of the Nigerian nation.
Accordingly corps members were given the platform to ask questions and air their views as regards the topic of discourse.
She concluded her lecture session by rendering tangible solutions through which corruption in the nation can be eradicated, urging the corps members to desist and as well join in the campaign against corruption in the nation.
