CDS BRANCH ENCOURAGES CORPS MEMBERS TO AFFECT HOST COMMUNITIES POSITIVELY
The NYSC Osun State Community Development Service Branch sensitised corps members on the need to embark on more community development services and projects as a means to impacting the host communities positively.
The sensitization which took place on Thursday 1st August, 2019 in Ede North and South saw the Head of the Branch, Mr Kayode Ola-Peters re-orientating the corps members on the nitty-gritty of community development service. He reminded them of the essence of CDS.
According to him "as corps members, you must identify the felt needs of your host community and use your acquired training from the camp to mobilise the community towards meeting the needs".
Kayode further encouraged them not to be undaunted by anything or anyone in their pursuit of living their host communities better than they met them. He added that the corps members should strive to leave a legacy individually and as a group at their places of primary assignments and the community at large.
Kayode furthermore enlightened the corps members on the need to enlist as U-Reporters to stay abreast of issues in the society and globally. He thereafter enlisted volunteers and inaugurated the U-Report vanguard in Ede North and South.
