SDG CDS LECTURES PUPILS ON PREMARITAL SEX
In continuation of the sensitization previously held in Muslim Government Middle School, members of the Sustainable Development Goals Community Development Service proceeded to Muslim Government High School to lecture the pupils on Premarital Sex.
One of the speakers, Adekola Wasiu described premarital sex as any form of sexual activity that happens between two people who are not married. He cautioned the pupils against premarital sex, stating that the dangers of engaging in it are quite drastic citing teenage pregnancy, loss of focus, premature death and poverty as some of the dangers of involving in the act.
Ibiwoye Israel urged the pupils to embrace chastity and abstinence as those are the only escape route to the harmful occurrences attached with premarital sex.
Meanwhile, Idris Abdulganiyu advised the pupils to report anyone who may want to sexually abuse them to authorities, adding that it doesn’t matter who the person is or where he is from, the neighbourhood, school or religious organization.
On her part, Alele Bukola cleared the myth of having sexual issues when married as a virgin, having stomach pain and terrible sex life in the future being a result of not having sex as a teenager and other rumours. She then advised the female students to keep their virginity for as long as they want.
President of the group, femi osho rounded the sensitization up by reiterating the words of the speakers while the school appreciated the efforts of the corps members.
