Corps members are permitted to marry each other in Osun, says Adamu
The Assistant Director, Corps Welfare and Health, Alhaji Abdullahi Adamu said that the 2019 batch 'A' corps members are permitted to marry themselves in Osun. According to him, corps members can even invite NYSC officials to the wedding ceremony.
He made this known during his lecture titled "corps welfare and health services" at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede, Osun State, on 2nd April.
He gave an assurance to corps members that they will not be deprived of their rights during the service year.
Abdullahi previously praised and considered the Osun Camp as the best amongst other camps in Nigeria. This was due to the quality of the Camp infrastructure, the standard of its clinic, and the quality of food corps members eat in camp.
He also gladdened the heart of corps members by stressing that each of them will be given a good accommodation at their respective place of primary assignment (PPA)
He then assured corps members to be certain of getting their 19,800 naira from nysc and not more than 5000 naira as the state allowance.
However, Abdullahi Adamu warned corps members not travel during their service year without permission and also encouraged them to be creative in their respective places of primary assignment so as to impact positively the host community.
