DIRECTOR GENERAL VISITS 2018 BATCH 'B' CORPS MEMBERS.
The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps, Brig. Gen. S.Z Kazaure has paid a visit to the 2018 Batch 'B' corps members deployed to Osun State and those dislodged from Lagos State, at the Permanent Orientation Camp Ede. The Director General who was represented by the Director Reforms, Mrs. A.S Idowu commended the state coordinator, Mr Emmanuel Attah and described him as an innovative man whose works stands him out among equals.
She further commended the 2018 Batch 'B' corps members for their conduct and disciplined carriage before and after her arrival. She urged them to uphold the virtues of discipline, service and humility throughout the service year. She further urged the members to always obtain the right permission before embarking on any journey or programme.
The director called on the officials and members to observe a minute silence in honour of the Taraba nine.
Meanwhile, the state coordinator, Mr. Attah briefed the Director General on the state of the camp, stating that the scheme in the state in a bid to cater for the wellbeing and health of corps members built a fully equipped four-bedroom apartment to house the camp clinic. He further apprized the DG that corps members with life threatening ailments had been instantly relocated back to where their families are for proper monitoring.
The visit was devoid of any fanfare in accordance with the directive from NDHQ and as a mark of honour and respect for the lost Taraba Nine.
