PETS GROUP EXTENDS LOVE TO REHABILITATION CENTRE

In an attempt to show love and care, Peer  educator  trainers, PETs, CDS group of Olorunda local Government, Osogbo, has visited the Children Rehabilitation Centre State  of Osun (CRCSO).

In his address during the visit, the group president, Sunday Bitrus, said the purpose of the visit was not to give money but to spread love among children.

He encouraged corps members to relate freely with the children and also share their life experiences in order to encourage them.

Also speaking, the Deputy Warden of the rehabilitation centre, Mr Adeola Adesoji, stated that children referred to the rehabilitation centre are those in conflict with the law of the land, those beyond parental control and those in need of care and protection.

He further said "the reason these children are sent here is to reform their behaviours and correct the dirty habits in them so that they will know how to behave on getting back to the public".

Members the group encouraged the children not to give up on their lives and never think that they were born by mistake.

The group further moved to the orphanage section where most of the children are physically challenged.
