As a way of enhancing reading culture among students and corps members,  Osun State NYSC editorial board has organised an inter school debate competition for both middle and high schools.

Sponsored by Nigerian Brewry, Osun branch, the debate had its first phase which was between CAC Middle School and Ifeoluwa Middle School with the topic "sex education should be included in the school curriculum".

Addressing the students on the topic of discussion, a member of the editorial board, Abdulqudir Adedapo, maintained that sex education should be included in schools' curriculum, even though students may utilise the knowledge in negative ways.

He therefore urged the students to focus more on their dreams and shun premarital activities.

Meanwhile, the second phase of the debate was between Saint Mark High School, Saint Charles High School and Ata Oja High School with the topic "dangers of the internet on students" in which Ataoja high School won the competition.

Speaking on the dangers and benefits of Internet, the second guest speaker, Oluwatosin Oladayo, stated that the use of internet has been abused, as it is now used for fraudulent actions, gambling, among others.

He implored students and corps members to make use of the internet positively, most especially for academic purposes.

CAC middle school came first in the junior category, while Ata Oja emerged first in the senior category.

However, prizes were presented to all participants.
