Platoon 1 Wins Miss NYSC as Platoon 4 Clinches Mr. Macho

Anaba Joy of Platoon 1 with code number 1131 has emerged winner of the 2022 Batch B Stream 1 Miss NYSC beauty pageant while Bethel Nwachukwu of platoon 4 with code number 1194 clinched the first place in the interplatoon Macho contest which held on Saturday at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede.

In her opening remarks, the State Coordinator, Mrs. Abdulwahab Olayinka, who was represented by the Camp Director, Mr. Aleshinloye Adeniyi charged corps members to have fun responsibly even as they watch their colleagues display on stage. She said that the contest is to help build confidence in the participants and also help to improve the social life of the Corps members.

She reminded them of the fact that the pageant is not the true test of their beauty as everyone is beautiful in his own way and urged them to see it as part of the activities on camp created to bring about unity and integration. She charged them not to take it too personal as everyone of them is a winner and therefore urged them to enjoy and catch fun responsibly.

The event was well attended by heads of assignments, collaborative agencies and the Corps members. Gifts were given to the winners and consolation prizes were to the other contestants. The night also featured performances from Corps members.
