ABDULWAHAB WORSHIPS AT NCCF, CHARGES CORPS MEMBERS NOT TO LOBBY FOR POSTING OR RELOCATION
The NYSC Osun State Coordinator, Mrs Olayinka Abdulwahab today worshipped at the Nigerian Christian Corpers Fellowship (NCCF) at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede, Osun State. She sung songs of worship, and addressed Corps members.
In her speech, Abdulwahab said that although she is a Muslim by religion, she is equally a Christian because of NYSC. She appreciated God for life, and expressed her delight over the conduct of Corps members in the Camp.
Furthermore, she advised Corps members to accept their postings to the various places of Primary Assignment (PPAs) in good fate. She warned corps members against lobbying for their postings or relocation. According to her, such acts would attract a fierce disciplinary action against any Corps member found culpable of such an act.
She told Corps members that God has reasons for posting people to different places. Hence, there is need to allow God's plan to be fulfilled.
Abdulwahab addressed the Christian Corps members on how to relate with people in their host communities. She enjoined the members to respectful to everyone in their host communities. "You never can tell who will help you; you never can tell if that is where your good wife is or where you will find your good husband", she said.
Concluding her speech, Abdulwahab advised the Corps members to shun jealousy and every other unwholesome behaviours.
In her words, she said, "... don't be jealous of anybody". According to her, everyone has his own destiny. Therefore, it was needless to be jealous of another person's progress since that would always be a futile effort. She also advised them to stay away from friends with negative mindsets and ideologies.
