MEDICAL-HEALTH CDS SENSITIZES HOST COMMUNITY ON COVID-19
In a bid to ensure safety of lives across the nation and the world at large, the Medical-Health Community Development Service Group Boripe LGA has sensitized the people of Boripe Local Government Area on the new variant of the Corona virus, the Omicron variant.
While educating them on the origin, causes and effects of the deadly Coronavirus, they informed the community that viruses are typically in waves, and this Omicron variant is a new wave and mutation of the virus.
The CDS group implored their host community on the need to adhere strictly to the laid down COVID-19 safety protocols and guidelines by the NCDC, which include; regular usage of nosemasks, religious use of hand sanitizers or washing of the hands from time to time, maintaining good hygiene and most importantly maintaining social distance in order to curtail the spread of the virus.
They also did not fail to educate the community dwellers on the need to be vaccinated and debunk every rumor that they have heard concerning the vaccine, assuring them that taking the doses of the vaccine is a step in the right direction in defeating the deadly virus.
At the end of the sensitization, nosemasks were distributed and demonstration on proper usage of it was done.
