CHARITY SERVICES AND GENDER CDS DONATES CLEANING ITEMS TO HEALTH CENTRE
The members of the Charity Services and Gender Community Development Service Group in Ede North Local Government, have recently donated some cleaning items and sanitaries in correspondence with their mantra.
This event took place at Oja Timi Health Centre, Ede. The health centre which is located in the heart of Ede, as stated by the corps members, has been an asylum for treatment to people in the community.
The items the group donated include: a roll of cotton wool, 2½ litres of mentholated spirit, liquid soaps, carton of detergent, laundry buckets, hypo, harpic, antiseptic liquids, waste bins, toilet tissue, mopping sticks and sweepers.
The spokesperson for the group, in his speech, stated that: 'without proper cleaning measures, the patients and even medical personnels can get exposed to germs and diseases and this is why we decided to donate these materials and equipment to the health centre'.
“We know what it feels like to take care of sick people therefore, contributing this little to this Health Centre was really the least we could do” he added.
The matrons received the gifts with so much gratitude and rendered prayers for the corps members for their sacrificial act, while also acknowledging the NYSC scheme for positioning young people for impacts like this.
'We are very much pleased with you all for your visit and donations. We will endeavor to make adequate use of these items and ensure cleanliness in these surroundings', the head of matrons expressed to the corps members.
