Financial Institutions Enlightens Corps Members On Available Funding Options

 

 Mr Owolabi Abayomi from the Development Finance Office, CBN, Osogbo has enlightened the 2021 Batch A stream 2 corps members on how to acquire loans to start up businesses of their choice.


While addressing the Corps members at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede on Thursday, he stated the fact that the Central Bank of Nigeria over the years has given soft loans and grants to young Nigerians in order to create financial independence and reduce the high level of unemployment in the country. 

To qualify for a loan, Mr Owolabi said an individual must have a stable source of income as well as a defined business plan.

In a related development, Barrister Olakunle Omotoso, the Zonal Head Corporate Affairs Commission CAC told the Corps members that starting up a business in Nigeria is easy if they go through the right procedures. 


Furthermore, he highlighted the criterias required to starting up a business, they include; valid identity card, passport photograph and payment receipt for CAC.

In the same vein, Mrs Famro Oluwatoyin of the Bank of Industry has assured corps members of the possibilities available to interested loan seekers. She stated that Corps members can access funds to sustain their existing businesses or start new ones at a very low interest rate.
