SECURITY IS EVERYONE'S BUSINESS- DANJUMA TELLS CORPS MEMBERS
Mr Danjuma Ibrahim of the Department of State Service, Osun State Command , has told the 2021 Batch A Stream II Corps Members that security is everyone's business.
He made this statement at the multipurpose hall of the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp Ede on Saturday.
According to him, the era of absolute dependence on the government for personal security is past as such Corps members have the responsibility of ensuring that they stay out of harms way.
Again, he informed Corps members of the security measures already put in place such as security awareness, mobilising of security personnels within and outside the camp, partnering with other security forces to enable security of corps members within and outside the camp, Initiating of proactive measures for efficient security system all in a bid to guarantee the security Corps members.
He stressed the importance of being vigilant and smart even as they move around considering the security challenges facing the country such as kidnapping, armed robbery, ritual killings, Terrorism attack, Cyber crime, misuse of social media, communal crisis, and some other subtle issues, amongst others. He urged them not to be involved in such.
Mr Danjuma concluded the lecture by stating that the provision of timely intelligence report is key to solving any matter that threatens the well-being of Corps members, their host communities and the society at large.
