NYSC FUMIGATES ORIENTATION CAMP AHEAD OF ORIENTATION COURSE
The National Youth Service Corps Osun State has on Saturday fumigated the Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede in preparation for the 2021Batch A stream II orientation course.
The fumigation which came on the heels of the decontamination of the camp by the Federal Fire Service, Osun State Command, was to rid the camp of reptiles, mosquitoes, flies and other insects.
According to the State Coordinator, Mr Ayodele Adegoke, the decontamination carried out earlier was to rid the camp of viruses to forestall the outbreak of the corona virus while the rigorous fumigation carried out today was to get rid of reptiles and harmful insects which may threaten the wellbeing of course participants.
Adegoke stressed that the welfare of prospective corps members and the creation of a very conducive and safe environment for course participants are sacrosanct to the scheme's management.
Mr Adegoke made it known that the fumigation covered every nook and crannies of the orientation camp, including: the kitchen, hostels, toilets, and the entire camp environment.
The State Coordinator also wished all prospective corps members deployed to the State and other States of the federation, including FCT God's speed as they journey to their various orientation camps.
