FEDERAL FIRE SERVICE DISINFECTS CAMP AHEAD OF ORIENTATION
The Federal Fire Service Zone L, Osogbo has on Tuesday carried out a decontamination exercise at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede, Osun state ahead of the 2021 Batch A stream II orientation exercise.
The fire service team disinfected every area of the camp ground with pesticide, virocide and microcide which are known to be non-toxic chemicals and effective in eradicating pests, viruses and microbes. This was done in order to ensure the safety and health of all course participants.
The State Commandant and team leader, DSF Tawose Reuben said, " the second wave of covid-19 can be contained if proper measures are put in place such as this decontamination exercise".
Furthermore, DSF Tawose Reuben stated that the purpose of the decontamination exercise was to ensure the safety of Prospective Corps Members deployed to the State.
The Desk Officer on Covid-19, DSF Aina Olawale professed that the exercise was sure to kill every germ, virus or bacteria on the camp ground and also contain the second wave of the pandemic.
After the exercise, the State Commandant said that community members can carry out the exercises on their own to ensure their safety against the second wave of the pandemic guaranteed that they will adhere strictly by the prescribed safety protocols.
The NYSC Osun State Coordinator, Mr Ayodele Adegoke appreciated the agency for their kind gesture which according to him will ensure the safety of participants during the orientation course.
