Drills And Exercises Are Essential For Safety -Ojeniyi

 

The Deputy Commander of the man o war, Mr Ojeniyi Lawrence Ademola, has told the 2021 Batch A stream II corps members the essence of drills and exercises and its importance to their safety.


While speaking to them at the permanent Orientation Camp, Ede on friday, the commander made it known to corps members that the drills and exercise that is being introduced to them is beneficial as it proven to be beneficial to many before them.


Again, he explained that the man o war drill is a physical training which comprises of :warm-up exercise, jogging, chants , gorilla climbing, snake walking, leopard crawling, rope climbing among others.





In addition to that, he stated that the drills are a symbolic of the hurdles and challenges corps members might face in life, and as a result, their resilience, tenacity and dynamism is required in order to scale through every of these hurdles. 


He concluded his lecture by emphasizing the need for safety, and advised all the platoons to actively participate, ensure they listen to the instruction of the officers in charge so as to avoid any form of casuality.
