AIG EXPRESSES WILLINGNESS TO ALWAYS PARTNER WITH NYSC

 

The Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone XI, Osogbo, Osun State, Olasupo Babatunde Ajani has expressed the willingness of the Nigerian Police Force(NPF) to always help and partner with NYSC where needed.

He made this known on Thursday when the  NYSC State Coordinator, Mr Ayodele Adegoke and and his management team paid him a courtesy visit in his office in Osogbo.

According to AIG Ajani, the Police Force and NYSC are subsidiaries of the federal government hence the need for partnership and consistent support for each other to ensure maximum productivity.

Again, he assured the scheme of additional security support even as the NYSC prepares to commence its orientation exercise in the coming days.

Furthermore, he told the team present to admonish corps members during the orientation exercise on the need to live right, keep right friends for accountability and avoid late nights for the safety of their lives and properties. 

He urged corps members in the State to be wary of strangers, hitching rides by the road side and blindly trusting people as the times we are in is a very precarious one and requires each and everyone to be security conscious.

Speaking earlier, the NYSC Osun State Coordinator, Mr Ayodele  Adegoke while welcoming the new AIG to the State, sought more support from the Zone in  enhancing the security of the members of the scheme.

He expressed his desire to continue to enjoy the synergy that has existed between the Zone and the NYSC scheme in the State.

"The security of the lives and properties of our corps members is paramount to us as they are the leaders of tomorrow," he concluded.
