YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR OWN SAFETY - GENERAL JOE ADMONISHES PROSPECTIVE CORPS MEMBERS

General Joe Komolafe Rtd. has admonished the 2021 Batch A Stream 1 Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) to be alert and vigilant at all times as they are responsible for their own safety.

He made this statement while addressing them at the second security lecture at the multi purpose hall of the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede, on Saturday.

General Joe described the situation in the country as precarious and as such there is the need to always tread carefully even as we serve our fatherland.

He encouraged them to imbibe good social skills which will always prove vital in times of distress.

Furthermore, he implored PCMs to cultivate the culture of gratitude and respect to all and sundry even as they go through this phase of life.

He highlighted some of the security challenges facing the nation such as: kidnapping, armed robbery, cyber crimes, amongst many others.

He encouraged them to develop courage and self -confidence as these will help them assess situations logically and thereby avoiding giving in to emotional whims and fads .

In addition, he encouraged the members to develop a cordial relationship with government security agencies around them as they may come handy should they find themselves in distress.
