NYSC OSUN RECEIVES FIRST DOSE OF COVID- 19 VACCINE

The NYSC Osun State Coordinator, Mr Ayodele Adewale Adegoke has expressed his delight at the availability of the first dose of the AstraZeneca Corona virus Vaccine after months of patient anticipation. The vaccine was received at the Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede by members of staff as well as corps members.

The news of the vaccine was received with mixed feelings, some very excited to take it in order to have some form of liberty once again while others were skeptical about the effectiveness of the vaccines and its side-effects.

Adegoke encouraged all present around the vaccination area not to be scared but to receive it with joy as it is a step in the right direction.

The AstraZeneca vaccine has been designed as explained by the medical practitioners present to be taken in two phases and encouraged all that took the first dose to return to the hospital in three months time for the second and final dose.

Furthermore, the medics present encouraged all who have taken the vaccines to propagate the gospel about the safety of the vaccines despite the wide spread conspiracy theories.

The arrival of the vaccine for NYSC Osun State means a return to normalcy of way of life and an enhanced physical and social interaction without the fear of contracting the corona virus.

The Corona virus is the pandemic that has plagued the world in general and Nigeria in particular across the last 12 months with over 161,737 confirmed cases, 147,899 discharged and 2030 deaths recorded in Nigeria alone.
