ADEGOKE CHARGES CORPS MEMBERS TO BE PACE SETTERS

 

The NYSC Osun State Coordinator, Mr Ayodele Adegoke has charged the 2021 Batch A Stream 1 Corps members to be pace setters in their various places of primary assignment.

He gave the charge while addressing corps members at the low-key closing ceremony of the orientation programme at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede, on Tuesday.

Adegoke enjoined the corps members to be totally committed to the task ahead of them and never let anyone or anything deter them from attaining their goals which they must consciously and continuously pursue.

He encouraged them to be ambassadors of peace and harmony because that is the best way any society can truly make sustainable progress.

" Do those things that will propagate unity and progress in your host community", he said.

Furthermore, he spoke on the need for the corps members to set objectives for themselves and be diligent enough to follow them through without backing down in the face of challenges. 

 The State Coordinator also commended the corps members for worthwhile behaviour displayed during their stay in the camp and encouraged them to continue to represent themselves, the scheme and the nation well.

 He advised further that the corps members should always adhere to the COVID-19 protocols even when no one else is willing to obey them.

He stressed on the need for corps members to be security conscious and to eradicate all forms of night travel in order to ensure their safety. He also called on them to cherish the friendships birthed during the course of the service year and ensure they maintain a healthy social life.

"Do not forget to keep in touch with one another and ensure you sustain the healthy relationship you have built with your colleagues.

"Be good ambassadors of your parents, the scheme and the nation at large. Live a life worthy of emulation for the younger generation".

He concluded by imploring the corps members to accept their postings in good faith and settle down to impact their host communities positively.
