"YOUR CALL TO SERVICE IS A SELFLESS AND PATRIOTIC ONE GEARED TOWARDS NATION BUILDING"- ADEGOKE

The NYSC Osun State Coordinator,  Mr Ayodele Adegoke has called on the 2020 Batch B Stream 2 corps members to see  their service year as a selfless and patriotic one geared towards nation building.

He made the call while addressing the corps members during the low-key swearing-in ceremony of the batch at the Permanent Orientation Camp Ede on Monday.

Mr Adegoke charged the corps members to utilize their patriotic zeal in solving the problems of Nigeria.

"Utilize the opportunity provided by the scheme to be disciplined and self reliant in order to champion positive change in all sectors of the country", he said.

Adegoke further charged  the members to be agents and pioneers of peace and love in the country as he urged them to treat those around them as their brothers and sisters for peaceful coexistence.

He highlighted the importance of the four cardinal programmes of the scheme and urged   them to leverage on the platforms of the cardinal programmes in achieving self actualization, self development and self reliance.

He equally charged them to always adhere to the COVID-19 preventive protocols and to promote proper hygiene in all their endeavours in order to stay safe and keep everyone around them safe.

"The second wave of the covid-19 had been said to be more deadly than the first, therefore, do not let your guards down, but always ensure you wear your facemasks, wash and  sanitize your hands and observe physical distancing rule", he said.

Conclusively, he appreciated the Chief Judge of Osun State, Hon. Justice Oyebola Adepele Ojo who was ably represented by Hon. Justice Zakariya Oyejide Falola who administered the national pledge and  oath of allegiance on the corps members.
