MIND THE GAP ENLIGHTENS CORPS MEMBERS ON THE IMPORTANCE OF DIGITAL SKILLS

 

Mr Adeleye Adeniyi of Google 'Mind the Gap' has on Saturday enlightened the 2020 Batch B Stream 2 Corps members on Google Digital Skills which is aimed at aiding them in building their brand. 

According to him, 'mind the gap' in collaboration with National Youth Service Corps concerned about the positive growth of the youths created a platform where the youths can be trained on digital skills that will help them gain online presence and triple their business sales.

Speaking further, he emphasized on the need for the corps members to have a good professional outlook.

"A good resume, curriculum vitae (CV), and a well detailed cover letter can increase your chances of getting good jobs" , he added.

The corps members were further trained on different ways to use marketing tools and the social media to advertise and grow their businesses online.

The Mind the Gap team further interacted with corps members on the concept of leadership and how best its skills could be developed. which was subsequently followed by an inter-platoon debate on the topic ‘the Path to Leadership’ with Platoon 3, 8 and 1 coming first, second and third respectively in the competition.
