Camp Director Warns Prospective Corps Members Against Defacing the NYSC Uniform
The NYSC Osun State Camp Director, Mr Felix Ayibiowu has warned the 2020 Batch B stream 1B prospective corps members against defacing the NYSC uniform because it is a punishable offense.
He said this, during the morning meditation at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede, on Monday.
Speaking at the meditation, the camp director urged the prospective corps members to adhere strictly to the designated dress code stressing that the dress code is in place to help the corps members look smart and be flexible during any NYSC programme.
He also charged the PCMs to adhere strictly to the COVID-19 preventive protocols in order to stay safe and enjoy the service year.
He concluded by appreciating the prospective corps members for conducting themselves responsibly during the welcome party and also appreciated the Head of Socials for successfully organizing the party.
Meanwhile, the Head of Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED), Mrs Femi-Ajayi Olufunmilayo sensitised the prospective corps members on the SAED programme and the 12 skill-sets available for them to train in.
She further stated that the SAED is vital and compulsory for all corps members regardless of the course the person studied, stressing that white collar Job is scarce.
Also speaking at the meditation, the Head of Press and Public Relations Unit, Mrs Funmi Okundaye enlightened the PCMs on greetings in Yoruba language as she demonstrates the process of greeting a king the Yoruba way in preparation for the traditional lecture coming up on Tuesday after the low-key swearing in ceremony.
Other highlights of the meditation, include; sensitization on drug use and abuse by a corps medical personnel and meditation on the topic 'discipline'.
