Mr Lawal Enlightens Corps Members on Teaching Methodology and Lesson Notes

The Zonal Inspector of Ilesa Zone and Head of lectures on Camp, Mr Lawal Kehinde has enlightened the 2020 Batch B stream 1A corps members on teaching methodology and how to write a lesson note.

The lecture which took place early hours of Thursday at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp,  Ede, is geared towards enabling the Corps members to perform effectively at their places of primary assignment as majority of them would be posted to school.

Mr Kehinde further explained a teacher to be someone who impacts knowledge on people around him and ensure that they learn and effect what they learnt.

"Teaching is a process of impacting knowledge with a view of transforming a person", he said.

He also reminded them on the need to be ready for the exercise they are embarking on, stressing that a higher percentage of the members would be posted to schools and will be expected to impart knowledge in the students.

He also took the corps members through a step by step method of writing a  good lesson note and on the various methodologies that can be adopted for learning to take place.

Conclusively, he encouraged the Corps members to ensure they dress moderately and respectfully to the class and that they should teach their students right because that will play a significant role in the growth and development of the country now and in the future.
