Good Sportsmanship is Part of the Values of the NYSC Scheme- Adegoke Tells Corps Members
The Osun State Coordinator, Mr Ayodele Adegoke has at the kick off of the sporting activities urged the Corps members to improve their spirit of sportsmanship on and off the field.
He made this known on Tuesday while addressing Corps members at the opening ceremony of the 2020 Batch B stream 1A sports activities at the Permanent Orientation Camp Ede, Osun State.
He further urged the them to always embrace unity and harmony in all their endeavors.
Meanwhile, the Camp Director, Mr Jimmy Fatogun, who also spoke during the opening ceremony, reminded the Corps members that sports is a form of exercise and a training for the mind and not a "do or die affair". "Therefore, play safe and play fair", he stated.
However, the sports tournament began with football and volleyball competition. Platoon 7 played against Platoon 8 in football with platoon 7 emerging winner on penalty shootout which ended 4-2, while Platoon 5 played against Platoon 4 in volley ball with platoon 5 emerging winner with 2-1.
