"The NYSC Scheme is an All Round Training Ground- Camp Director
The Camp Director, Mr Jimmy Fatogun informed the 2020 Batch B stream 1A Corps members that the scheme is an all round development program which touches all spheres of lives.
He said this while addressing the Corps members at the commencement of the interplatoon dance and drama competition at the multipurpose hall of the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede, Osun on Tuesday Night.
Declaring the event open, Mr Fatogun said that the NYSC nationwide curriculum is designed to teach discipline and inculcate the spirit of unity, peace and integrity in the minds of the youths.
He further reminded the Corps members that the COVID-19 is still in existence and they should endeavour to adhere to the COVID-19 guidelines as stated by NCDC even while they enjoy their stay in the orientation camp.
Subsequently, the Corps members adorned in their cultural regalia, with enthusiasm and pride, made a beautiful display of the various dance cultures in Nigeria.
However, platoon 1 displayed the rich cultural dance of the Igbo tribe, while the platoon 2 displayed beautiful Yoruba cultural dance and platoon 6 staged a drama on covid-19 and the importance of adhering to the prevention protocols.
