Adegoke Holds Maiden Meeting, Charges Camp Officials To Observe And Enforce Covid-19 Protocols
The NYSC Osun State Coordinator, Mr Ayodele Adegoke charged camp officials to ensure strict compliance with the NCDC guidelines and to also enforce and maintain the covid-19 protocols throughout the 3-week orientation programme.
He gave the charge at the maiden meeting with all camp officials at the 2020 Batch B stream 1A orientation at the Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede on Monday.
Adegoke reminded officials of the ongoing war against the pandemic and the need for all course participants to the proper use of the face mask at all times and regular washing and sanitising of the hands. He also stressed on the need for officials to work as a team in order to record success during and after the programme.
Speaking further, he warned against involvement in the extortion of corps mmbers, an action which according to him has dire consequences. He enjoined officials to show themselves an ambassador of the scheme and an example worthy of emulation by the corps members.
Adegoke appreciated the medical team who had been on ground to ensure all participants were tested before been allowed into the camp. He therefore urged officials to cooperate with the Presidential Task Force and Nigeria Centre for Disease Control team and submit themselves to be tested so as to have a hitchfree orientation.
Correspondingly, the Camp Director, Mr Felix Ayibiowu and the Resident Officer, Mr Bamgboye Paul sued for unity, discipline and cooperation among camp officials in order to successfully sail the ship of the 2020 Batch B stream 1A to its desired harbour.
This wsas followed by the constitution of the covid-19 monitoring and enforcement committee for the orientation programme. The committee has the state coordinator as chairman, the state public relations officer as secretary and the camp director, head of camp clinic and the resident officer as members. The committee also has as members the representatives of the collaborating agencies on camp.
A minute silence was equally observed in honour of the late Union president of the scheme in the state, Comrade Ale Samuel.
