"We Need You", Oba Windapo, Alara of Ara tells NYSC.
The newly Coronated King, the Alara Of Ara Kingdom, Osun State, His Royal Majesty, Oba Olubayo Adesola Windapo has on Wednesday made a plea to The National Youth Service Corps Members In Ara and Suburbs to come to their aid with Sensitization and Community Mobilization on the prevelant Lassa fever and Corona Viruses.
This he said as the corps members and the Local Government Inspector of Egbedore Local government paid Him a Congratulatory Visit on His Coronation as the King.
The King who gladly welcomed the Corps members said in his address "we need you corps members to help us in Community Mobilization and Sensitisation on the disease, lassa fever and Corona virus. We need you to help us enlighten our people on how to prevent the spread of the diseases in the community, because majority of our people are ignorant of community health generally, therefore we need to let them know how to keep their foods from been contaminated and avoid foods which have been contaminated. That is one of our major challenges in this community and we need your help if you have the opportunity to help".
In response, the Local Government Inspector of Egbedore Local Government, Mr Olunloyo mentioned that, the directive had been given by the state coordinator, Mr Ayodele Adegoke, that corps members should be mobilized to enlighten people on the widespread diseases to serve as a preventative measure. He called for the support of the community on providing the necessary tools and materials needed by the corps members for future sensitisations.
Responding accordingly, His Majesty, who is also a Medical Doctor assured the team of his readiness to support the corps members by providing the needed materials before their next sensitisation. He added that the corps members should take advantage of whatever is available wherever they find themselves. He mentioned that, Osun State as an agrarian community should serve as an advantage to the corps members, as land is available for farming which can serve as a source of income for whosoever had interest in farming.
