CORPS MEMBERS SENSITISE TRADERS ON QUALITY SERVICE DELIVERY.

Corps members from the SERVICOM Community Development Service of Osogbo Local Government Area, have sensitised traders at Orisunbare market on the need for quality service delivery.

As part of their contribution to national development, the corps members enlightened the marketers on ways to strengthen relationship with their customers.
Communicating in both English and indigeneous languages, they charged the traders to have a positive approach towards their customers,  know much about their product, and be committed to their trade by arriving early at their stores as these are subtle ways of wooing customers over.

The CDS group also moved around carrying placards with inscriptions such as: "If you don't give thanks to your customer, somebody else will do that"; "The satisfaction of your customer should be your priority"; "A satisfied customer is the best form of advertisement" among others.

The President of SERVICOM, Mr. Adewunmi Philip, in an interview said, " we have decided to go on a sensitization visit to the New Orisumbare Shopping complex and environ to make the people aware that in business, customers are major players in the continuous existence of their businesses and therefore should be treated as Kings and Queens."

He further stated that, "though customers are not always right, but service providers should make them think they are because they are the fuel that keeps the business running. Also, we made them aware that the quality of products delivered to customers should have passed through appropriate agencies for government approval in order to confirm their authenticity. The quality of product and customer relations delivered to a customer determines the kind of recommendation they give to other potential customers. "

A customer who pleaded anonymity, appreciated the efforts of the corps members, stating that most of the traders do not place priority on their customers while also urging the youths to keep on coming to sensitise the traders.

Meanwhile, traders who granted our reporter an interview prayed for the corps members, wishing them the best throughout their service year and beyond.
