Corps Members Promote Development and Unity, Organize Spelling Bee Competition For Schools In Osogbo

The Education Development CDS group, Olorunda Local Government, has promoted development and unity while organizing Spelling Bee Competition for schools in Osogbo, Osun State on Wednesday.

The spelling bee competition which was the maiden edition had fourteen schools in attendance where Omolere International School emerged overall winner with Unity Middle School, CAC Middle School II and Adenle Middle School II coming second, third and fourth respectively.

Speaking at the event, the Local Government Inspector, Olorunda Local Government, Mr. Dolapo Stephen applauded the teachers for the roles played in grooming the students for best performance.

He further encouraged the teachers to improve the methods and styles employed for training the kids, while admonishing the students to practice  skills for self development through deep study and consistent learning.

Earlier before, the president of the CDS group, Miss Marvelous Oláwóore revealed that the competition was basically for the development of the students and achieving unity amongst schools in the metropolis. According to her, "the program is aimed at developing the students and fostering unity among schools."

Also present at the events were the Director of Classic Infotech Osogbo, Mr Solomon, tutors, guardians  and students from the  participating schools.
