ALHAJI SALAWU'S DAUGHTER WEDS AMIDST GLITZ AND GLAMOUR
Zainab Bukola Salawu, the daughter of the Director Human Resource Management NYSC NDHQ Abuja, Alhaji Abdulrazak Salawu, tied the knot with her heartthrob, Fathi Bukola Aileru, amidst glitz and glamour, in Osogbo on Saturday.
The wedding Nikkah and reception which took place at a popular event center in Osogbo saw the scheme's bigwigs and the creme de la creme of the society in attendance. The event had in attendance royal fathers, Chief Salami popularly known as Oga Bello who chaired the occasion, NYSC Departmental Directors, NYSC Area Coordinators, State Coordinators, retired directors and officers of the scheme, and other top functionaries who came to felicitate with the couple.
During the Nikkah, the guest lecturer, Alhaji Fadilat Skeikh Uthman, the Sanu Shehu of Ilorin in his lecture enjoined the couple to live together in love and harmony and have compassion and tolerance for one another. He further enjoined the parents of the couple to support the couple in ensuring they build an enduring relationship by maintaining neutrality and avoiding undue interference in their home.
Meanwhile the Director HRM, Alhaji Salawu Abdulrazak could barely hide his joy and excitement during the joining of the bride and the groom. He appreciated Allah for making the event a glorious one while showering the couple with fatherly blessings as they begin their marital journey.
Correspondingly, the Osun State Coordinator, Mr Ayodele Adegoke, who played host to the NYSC bigwigs and guests appreciated God for the success of the wedding and also the entire staff of NYSC nationwide for deeming it fit to sacrifice their time during the yuletide season to rejoice with the Salawu's family whom he described as "very loving, caring and hospitable".
The event further witnessed varieties such as cultural displays by the NYSC Osun State cultural troupe, a cultural troupe from Ilorin, disk jockeying by DJ Baseman, amongst others.
The reception took place at the same venue and everyone was treated to surplus variety of local and continental dishes.
