35 Years of God's Faithfulness in Civil Service... Mama Kitchen Rejoices.
Mrs. Oluwakemi Afuape, a staff of the Corps Inspection and Monitoring branch, popularly known as "mama kitchen", was highly celebrated by NYSC Osun State family, well wishers, friends, family, colleagues and corps members in a retirement ceremony held in her honour on Wednesday by the State secretariat.
It was thanks Galore as the celebrant recounted the goodness and mercies of God over her life in the past 35 years in service to the government. She enumerated of the Lord's goodness to her in the field, even when she was least deserving of all. According to her, "at junctions God showed how faithful He is, even In keeping my family safe through my years of service".
Speaking at the event, the State Coordinator, Mr Ayodele Adegoke, gave God Almighty all the thanks for the privilege to encounter a woman as Mrs Afuape, he stressed that "it is good to be good to others", as people will only remember you by your act of kindness towards them. He Described the celebrant as a woman who has been good to people.
Correspondingly, family, friends, well wishers and her colleagues described her as a virtuous woman, whose price is far above rubies. She was further described as a woman of Integrity, a godly and humble woman, a lover of Peace, hardworking and contented, the list is endless. They showered her with prayers for God's protection and divine guidance and leading even as she retires.
Pastor Adedeji Adeyemi, also joined in thanking God over the life of Mama Kitchen, and emphasized that for those in service, they must do things that will cause men to honour them. He also stated that there is a time to work, time to rest and time to enjoy and that everyone who has diligently worked will come to the point of rest and enjoyment.
Mr Rufus Jegede, the AD Corps Inspection and Monitoring, in his toast, encouraged the family to take good care of Mama Kitchen, even as She took care of NYSC Osun State.
Mama Kitchen was showered with many gifts as a show of love to her.
