The football match between the Shining Stars which were formerly known as the Red devils(NYSC officials) and White angels (female corps members) took place on Friday at the NYSC Orientation Camp in Ede.
The friendly match, which is part of the activities marking the end of the interplatoon sports competition, kicked off around 4:23pm in the evening having the presence of the NYSC state coordinator, Mr Ayodele Adegoke, Sport director, Alhaji Adamu, and other principal officials as spectators.
The match started on an interesting mode having the shining stars leading the white angels in ball possession during the first half. Nevertheless, the white angels gained ground as they began the second half of the match.
The Head of Sport, Alhaji Adamu Abdullahi stated that ''the two teams played exceptionally well against themselves.
An anonymous corps member expressed her dissatisfaction towards the match, "The referee should have called for a penalty so as to know the overall winner of the match." She said.
