NYSC OSUN STATE COORDINATOR BRIEFS PROSPECTIVE CORPS MEMBERS
The NYSC Osun State Coordinator, Mr Ayodele Adewale Adegoke, on Sunday 1st December, heartily congratulated and welcomed the 2019 Batch C stream II prospective corps members (PCMs) to the orientation camp.
In his brief, he gave gratitude to God for safe journey granted to all prospective corps members, and urged them to observe a minute silence for the prospective corps members who lost their lives in a motor accident on their way to their states of deployment.
He enjoined prospective corps members to respect and give regard to all NYSC officials, recognizing the level of importance accorded to polite greetings and reverence by host community.
Mr Adegoke further spelt out the scheme's objectives and its cardinal programmes, stating that the orientation camp is regimented, and defaulters would be sanctioned accordingly. In view of this, he asserted that, "If you flout camp rules and regulations, we will discipline you".
Also, on discipline, he admonished PCMs to always abide by the camp rules as regarding the dress code, refraining from hard drugs, smoking and cultism.
The state coordinator apprised PCMs on the various committees they can participate in. He also confirmed the entitlements they are to receive during their service year.
Adegoke further stated that, the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development Programme will commence this week and its essence is to equip corps members with the necessary skills needed both in and out of camp. He also read out the 'Dos and Donts' guiding camp activities, according to him "discipline is a watch word here" and "to be forewarned is to be forearmed" he concluded.
