Nigeria, my fatherland.

Nigeria, my fatherland
blessed with various natural resources;
as attractive as a garland
some science cannot prove their source

Nigeria, my fatherland filled with great minds
as thrilling as the beach sand
unique beings so kind

Nigeria, my fatherland
your weather so temperate
And very considerate
you satisfy our insatiable demands

Fertile like the Hebrew women
men as determined like the Athens
you revail in beautiful shades of green
which makes for luring scences.

Nigeria, my fatherland
a great nation
neck deep in corruption
myopic and weak, a broken band.

Feeble, Giant of Africa
with collapsed systems
an offshoot of dead stems
A beautiful shack.

Till when will you bleed in silence?
When will you plague our conscience;
to love one another?
If only to please you,our mother!

For we yearn for that cool breeze,
the one that soothes our soul and bring peace
that will help us stick together as a piece
for the senseless ware to cease.
