*NDE Officials Apprise Corps Members on Small Scale Business*
The National Directorate of Employment, Mr Abdulrazak exposed the 2019 Batch C Stream 2 corps members to the rudiments of successfully managing small scale businesses as prospective entrepreneurs at the Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede on Thursday.
He explained what being an entrepreneur means, the qualities and characteristics attributed to an entrepreneur, businesses peculiar to communities and ways in which entrepreneurs could develop themselves further.
Also, Mr Abdulrazak enlightened corps members on what a market is, according to him, "customers are your market as an entrepreneur". He further stated how markets could be sustained and affected.
Equally, The Assistant Chief Training Officer of the Directorate, Mr Bamidele E.A took corps members through the process involved in managing small scale businesses. He enjoined them to plan, have a clear achievable goal, stay focused, and be patient with their clients. "Remain calm and avoid jumping into conclusions" he said.
Furthermore, he illustrated to corps members on how to estimate cost incurred, and thereafter set their selling price. Mr Bamidele advised corps members who would become entrepreneurs to always have a business plan in other to minimize threats and weaknesses, while simultaneously improving strengths and opportunities.
