The National Agency for Prohibition of Traffic in Persons (NAPTIP) enjoined the Batch C stream II corps members to join in the fight against the menace of human trafficking.
He made the statement during a lecture organized for the members at the Permanent Orientation Camp in Ede, Osun State on Monday.
Mr Mustapha Saidu, the spokesperson for the Agency explained what human trafficking entails. In his words, ''it is the act of transporting any person by means of threat, without their consent for the purpose of exploitation.
More so, Mustapha stated again that ''Human trafficking is in different shapes and dimensions. The boys are whisked away to serve domestic services and even engage in petty crimes, while the girls are forced into prostitution".
In conclusion, the Agency is out to sensitize corps members and the general public to battle against this rapid growing trend.
