His Excellency, The Executive Governor of the State of Osun, Mr Adeboyega Oyetola at the occasion of the swearing in of the 2019 Batch C stream II corps members deployed to Osun state,  has urged all corps members to make friends and relate freely with one another, cherishing their differences while diligently discovering their similarities.

Oyetola who was represented by the Coordinating Director, Ministry of Youths and Sports, Dr. Olatunbosun Awoyemi enjoined  corps members not to see their call as a waste of time, or a time to partake in the national cake but as a call to action and accountability.

 He went further to emphasize on areas and sectors corps members need to input fresh ideas, stressing the need for them to embrace skills that would develop the state.

Also, he indulged corps members to be creative and innovative as graduates and elite of our nation, " let's not only think of consuming, but rather begin to think of what you can produce or offer, that will proffer solutions to the society needs" he said.

On his final note, The Governor assured corps members that his government will continue to work towards providing adequate security and a conducive environment for them. According to him "Security agencies in the State have been duly equipped and empowered to protect lives and property of the people in the state.
 "Stay true to the oath you have sworn to today, and always be law abiding citizens" he added.

Earlier, Mr Adewale Ayodele Adegoke, the NYSC Osun State Coordinator, gave the introductory address, after observing all protocol present, went further to describe the camp to be rated as one of the best in the country, he stated that  "it gives corps members a home away from home".

He implored corps to accept their state of deployment and categorically spelt out the diverse folds the service is made of.

Mr Ayodele reiteratated further  on the importance of the SAED programme established in 2012. Which since its origination has benefitted thousands of corps members.
 "Take the SAED in-camp and post-camp skill training seriously, as this is one of the initiatives of the scheme aimed at rewarding selfless service" he asserted.
