"SAY NO TO SUBSTANCE ABUSE" -- Boripe Medical CDS Urges Students
The corp members in the Medical Community Development Service (CDS) group from Boripe Local Government Area took the urgent message of abstaining from substance abuse to the students of Oke-Iragbiji High School, Iragbiji, Osun State.
The event which took place in the school premises had the President of the CDS group, Dr. Samuel Ogidi to lecture on the topic "Say No Substance Abuse”. He further enlightened the students on the difference between drugs and substance abuse, as well as its attendant effects.
The Corpers Liaison Officer for the Boripe Local government, Mr Ayokunle Ayeminimowa also admonished the students and urged them to flee from friends who imfluence them to become drug addicts. instead, they should look forward to a brighter future ahead of them.
Corroborating the outreach, a banner carrying the message "Say No To Substance Abuse. It Damages The Mind And The Future" was displayed. At the climax of the program, questionnaires were shared to check the level of indulgence and possible ways of curbing this menace.
In his closing remark, Ogidi assured the students that there will be medical assistance to anyone indulging in this act and ready to speak up.
